For example, the Early Childhood Development AAS develops a 62-credit, CAEP-accredited online track to Idaho’s Infant/Toddler or Preschool Center-Based CDA Credential with three-part internships, such as the Kinder College. Chaired by Dr. Christopher Riggs, the Behavioral Science AA plots a 64-credit, four-semester transfer plan on Blackboard with cheap introductory courses like Scientific Ways of Knowing and Cultural Anthropology plus an optional Addiction Studies Minor for IBADCC certification eligibility.
On Blackboard Learn 9.1, the Division of Business Technology & Service led by Dr. Joni Mina grants a 64-credit Web Design and Development AAS entirely online with applied 200-level courses from Image Editing to Electronic Commerce for pursuing Microsoft or Adobe certifications. The Marketing AS builds a 60-credit, two-year online sequence with an optional Sport Marketing Certificate for undergrads with minimum 2.0 GPAs to seamlessly transfer to articulation partners like Boise State, Brigham Young, Idaho State, and Concordia.

About Lewis-Clark State College
Lewis-Clark State College originated on January 27, 1893, when the 3rd Governor William J. McConnell signed legislation to create Lewiston State Normal School for rural teacher training. In January 1896, an inaugural class of 46 enrolled at a local business’s warehouse. Six months later, the Lewiston campus dedicated its first building to honor James W. Reid. In 1917, the Reid Administration Building’s East Wing was tragically destroyed by arson. Rebuilt in 1921, it transitioned into a four-year institution in 1943. In 1947, it was called the Northern Idaho College of Education. Closed in 1951, it was revived as Lewis-Clark Normal School four years after. In 1965, Lewis-Clark branched out to create a nursing associate major in 1965. In 1971, the current Lewis-Clark State College name was chosen. Fully accredited in 1973, LCSC began offering alternative learning environments in 1983. By 2015, LCSC was uniquely offering $50 “try it out” online classes.
Budgeting $37.11 million yearly, Lewis-Clark State College now educates 3,684 Warriors from 32 states and 20 countries at an average age of 24 online, on the 46-acre Lewiston campus, or at the Coeur d’Alene Center with 75+ clubs like Wildlife Society. In 2012, LCSC received the Idaho Humanities Council’s Outstanding Achievement Award. In 2009, Lewis-Clark State boasted the ABCA Wilson Lefty Gomez Award recipient. Lewis-Clark State College Accreditation Details
On January 22, 2019, Lewis-Clark State College received a formal notification letter from the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities (NWCCU) that reaffirmed the Level II accreditation status after a September 2018 evaluation visit under the 16th president, Dr. Cynthia Pemberton, a Fulbright Scholar who won the ISU Trailblazer Award. Located 310 miles west via Interstate 90 in Redmond, this superb seven-state Cascadia Region accreditor is recognized by the Council on Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and Idaho State Board of Education. Lewis-Clark State College Application Requirements
Getting into Lewis-Clark State College is classified “minimally difficult” by Peterson’s because 1,104 of the 1,117 Fall 2017 applicants were successful for high 99 percent acceptance. First-year Warriors still must meet degree-seeking student requirements with a secondary or GED diploma though. The Idaho Core standards stipulate at least eight English, six Math, five Social Studies, and six Science credits in high school. Freshmen need a minimum 2.0 GPA in grades 9-12. The Class of 2021 reported a median 3.07 GPA on the four-point scale. Associate majors under age 21 must achieve SAT scores above 780 or ACT scores over 17. Non-traditional adults can take the ALEKS placement tests instead. For undergrad transfers with 14+ college credits, GPAs of 2.0 and higher are mandated. The International Programs Office also requires a TOEFL iBT English score of 79 or an IIE Bridge course.
Lewis-Clark State College conveniently has rolling admission until August 8th for Fall and January 8th for Spring enrollment. Note the priority financial aid deadline is March 1st. Foreign exchange students must apply before April 15th or October 15th. The Dual Credit Program lists registration deadlines of October 31st, February 28th, and June 10th. Tuition and Financial Aid
For 2019-20, Lewis-Clark State College is charging Idaho residents $6,982 each year full-time. Non-resident associate tuition is $19,978 annually. For Asotin County natives, the price drops to $10,972 yearly. The PACE program adds $15 per credit. Liability insurance costs $13 each year. Room and board for living at the Lewiston campus’ dorms like Talkington Hall adds $7,680. LCSC budgets $1,650 for books and supplies. The Transfer Student Scholarship has June 15th and December 15th deadlines for Idaho residents with GPAs above 3.0. The Non-Traditional Scholarship gifts $1,500 annually to working adults taking 12+ credits online each semester. Federal resources, such as the Pell Grant and Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, require FAFSA forms coded 001621. The $3,500 Idaho Opportunity Scholarship also helps Gem State natives with 2.7 or better GPAs.
