Georgia Military College is a public independent liberal arts community college with its main campus located in Milledgeville, Georgia. It was established in 1879 as Middle Georgia Military and Agricultural College by the Georgia General Assembly. The first classes began in 1880. It became Georgia Military College in 1900. It became a public institution in 1920. It added a junior college division in 1930. Today, Georgia Military College is home to nearly 8,600 students on its main campus and 15 remote campuses throughout the state of Georgia. It operates on the quarter-based academic calendar.

Federal Work-Study
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) is a federal program available for eligible students to work part-time to earn money to help pay for their higher education. The eligibility is based on financial need.
