The Associate of Applied Science in Applied Management builds on skills and includes marketing, analytic, and leadership abilities. The degree requires the completion of at least 60 credit hours and includes the combination of an introductory certificate and an intermediate certificate in business and leadership skills. Required courses in the business and leadership certificate include Business Applications or Introduction to Excel, Business Fundamentals, Financial Accounting, Marketing Materials, and Organizational Leadership. Students must also complete a one to three credit internship component and general education and elective courses.
The Associate of Applied Science in Applied Technology teaches students about the design and development of computer programs, web pages, applications, and databases. The program requires a total of 60 credits composed of two 12-15 credit certificates, such as computer support, auto services technology, computer-aided design, computer programming, database, system administration, web frontend, and web backend development. Students must also complete general education courses and elective courses.
The Associate of Applied Science in Family History Research enables students to gain an advanced understanding of family history research principles and practices. A total of 60 credits are needed to complete the program including a certificate in family history research and additional courses. The family history research courses include Introduction to Family History, Introduction to Family History Research, Internet and Computer Skills, and Paleography.
The Associate of Applied Science in Marriage and Family Studies expands on students understanding of research and theory as it relates to marriage and family functioning. A total of 60 credits are required to complete the program and students must complete certificates in marriage, family, and human relations and advanced marriage and family functioning. General education and elective courses are also required. The core courses include Family Relations, The Family, Marriage Skills, Parent Skills, Developmental Psychology Lifespan, Parenting, Child and Family Advocacy, Money Management, and Family Theories.
The Associate of Applied Science in Professional Studies enables students to modify their education to meet their academic and professional goals. Students have the ability to create a unique course plan by selecting certificates that will meet their needs. The program requires a total of 60 credits including two certificates, general education courses, and electives. The available certificates include administrative assistant, child and family advocacy, business analysis, agribusiness, advanced marriage and family functioning, database, web frontend, human services, computer programming, auto services technology, basic accounting, business administration, business and leadership skills, commercial fundamentals, computer support, computer-aided design and drafting, entrepreneurship, family history research, marriage, family, and human relations, web backend development, human services, TESOL, system administration, social media marketing, parent and family education, human resource management, and hospitality and tourism management.

Brigham Young University Idaho (BYUI) is a private postsecondary institution residing in Rexburg, Idaho. It is associated with The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. BYUI’s history dates back to 1888 with the founding of Bannock Stake Academy. In 1898, the school became Fremont Stake Academy, Ricks Academy in 1903, and Ricks College in 1923. The Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges granted the college accreditation in 1930.
